Bishop Creek climate is quite arid, with little precipitation throughout the year. This means that rain does not come in large quantities, not that it cannot rain unexpectedly, especially if you are in the surrounding areas, climbing the mountains, for instance. Because it’s so close to the Sierra Nevada mountains, the weather can change quite rapidly, so it is always wise to be prepared for a little rain, even if it’s sunny outside and the weather forecast didn’t mention the possibility of rain. Also, you may want to know that at night it can get pretty chilly, cold even, with temperatures going below zero. Sometimes, the mountain tops are covered with snow even during summer, so depending on where you want your outdoor activities to take you, you might need some pretty warm clothes. The hottest months are June, July and August and sometimes even September. December, January and February can get extremely cold.
